suspended for three matches due to the horror tackle made when Fortuna Sittard was defeated by Ajax in the Eredivisie, Sunday (7/12) early morning WIB.
“Fortuna Sittard has received an official letter from the KNVB for Justin Hubner: a three-match suspension, one of which is conditional with a one-year probationary period,” read the club’s official statement on Instagram.
“The club has informed the KNVB that we agree with this punishment,” the statement added.

Justin Hubner started the match from the bench when Fortuna Sittard hosted Ajax Amsterdam at the Offermans Joosten Stadium in Week 15 of the Dutch League.
The Indonesian national team defender was actually only played at the start of the second half when the score was still tied at 1-1.Hubner received a red card after tackling Bounida from behind with both feet.
This red card meant that Hubner only played a total of approximately 8 minutes since entering the second half.The 3-1 score for Ajax’s victory lasted until the match ended.
This is Hubner’s first red card since joining Fortuna Sittard in 2025. The 22-year-old defender has often played as a substitute in his 10 appearances in the Eredivisie this season.
The playing opportunity given by coach Danny Buijs was not utilized optimally against Ajax.Hubner committed a dangerous foul which actually harmed his team.
The defeat to Ajax left Fortuna Sittard stuck in ninth place in the Eredivisie standings with a collection of 18 points from 15 matches.
