“Our children’s nutrition will be measured in six months. In six months, what will their nutrition be like? In a year, what will their nutrition be like. We hope that our children will be physically strong enough, intelligent, with an IQ of 120,” said Zulhas at the 2025 BIG Conference at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (8/12).
The man who is familiarly called Zulhas said that next year the receipt of MBG benefits is targeted to reach 82.9 million people. Not only can this program improve the quality of human resources, it is also hoped that it can stimulate the village economy because it requires a lot of food raw materials.
“Imagine the impact of the policies, farmers can now buy because the exchange rate is high. Tomorrow fishermen will be high because they can be independent. Wow, that’s what it is if you want to be sovereign in the economic sector. It’s impossible for Indonesia to be clear only from Jakarta,” he explained.
President Prabowo Subianto previously claimed the MBG program had reached 49 million recipients. This was conveyed by Prabowo when making a speech at the peak event of Golkar’s 61st anniversary.
“Brothers, today there are 49 million meals every day, 49 million beneficiaries every day. We feed more than 7 times (the population of) Singapore every day, brothers. And in remote areas, in remote places, we have succeeded in getting in,” said Prabowo in his speech at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, last Friday (5/12).
He also said that this achievement was the biggest logistics achievement in the world in recent years.
“This is not a joke, this is not an easy activity. This is a logistical achievement, perhaps the biggest in the world for many years. Brazil succeeded in reaching 40 million beneficiaries in 11 years. We reached it in 12 months or less, (already) 49 million,” said Prabowo.
