Abdul said search and rescue operations were still being carried out on a limited but optimal basis, especially in the Aceh and West Sumatra regions. In Aceh, at least six districts are still the focus of searches to ensure that no more victims are buried in residential areas and affected areas.
Apart from that, the victim identification process continues to be intensified to ensure victim data by name and by address. This step is considered important for fulfilling the rights of heirs, including regarding temporary and permanent housing.
“For missing person data, we continue to update the three posts based on tiered reports, starting from the RT, RW, village and sub-district levels. We hope this process will be completed soon so we can enter the emergency transition stage,” he said.
BNPB ensures that the basic needs of refugees, especially food, continue to be met through public kitchens operating at a number of refugee camps.
