discussed Indonesia’s competitive democracy during elections or local elections in the mass contract event for 50,030 Public Housing Credit Housing Payment Liquidity Facilities (KPR FLPP) and the handover of keys for 2025 in Serang, Banten, Saturday (20/12).
Prabowo believes that even though democracy in Indonesia is competitive, after the election event all parties need to work together to build the nation, meaning there is no more competition.
“Indonesian democracy must be a democracy that is greater than democracy in other places. Our democracy is about competition, after competition, cooperation. Who is number one, who is number two, there is no problem,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo then gave the example of the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno, or who is familiarly called Bang Doel, who was also present at the event.
Prabowo does not question the party background of Rano Karno who is now Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.The most important thing, according to him, after winning the election, the leader of any party must work for the people.
“I don’t have a problem with Si Doel becoming Deputy Governor in Betawi, as long as he works for the people, that’s fine. Whether he wants red, whether he wants yellow, whatever he wants, the important thing is that we all work for the people,” said Prabowo.
Rano Karno was seen responding to Prabowo’s statement by nodding
“When the elections come, the regional elections will come, yes we will compete again, there will be no problems. That’s a mature nation, that’s where we have to go,” said Prabowo.
