“Thank God, the gold medal and extraordinary achievements achieved by the Indonesian Team at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games were the result of hard work,” said Okto in an official KOI release, Saturday (20/12).

According to Okto, Indonesia’s success cannot be separated from the government’s full support.He believes that the government’s attention and commitment has helped accelerate the achievements of Indonesian athletes.
Furthermore, KOI will submit an official report on Indonesia’s results and achievements at the Thailand SEA Games to the Minister of Youth and Sports, for further reporting to the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
“We also thank all sports, athletes, coaches, officials and support teams who have fought tirelessly,” said Okto.
“You have brought the Red and White to fly and Indonesia Raya to ring out in Thailand. This struggle is a source of pride for all Indonesian people.”
Even though the achievements of the Indonesian contingent at the 2025 SEA Games are satisfactory, Okto emphasized that this Southeast Asian Games is an intermediate target, not the main one.
The SEA Games are part of the process towards bigger events, the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games and the 2028 Los Angles Olympics, which are Indonesia’s main targets.
“We hope that the achievements at the Thailand 2025 SEA Games will be a momentum to move stronger, better prepared and more confident to face challenges at the Asian and world level.”
“This achievement should be an encouragement to continue to maintain consistency, improve quality, and look to the future with optimism. Thank you for your struggle,” said Okto.
