The Women’s Futsal National Team made history by winning the SEA Games silver medal for the first time after losing badly 0-5 to Vietnam in the final at Bangkokthonburi University Gymnasium, Thursday (18/12).
Failing to win a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games was a shame for Novita Murni Piranti, who later apologized for only donating a silver medal.

The reason is, from the start, the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team hoped to bring home a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
“I apologize to all Indonesian people who have supported Indonesian Women’s Futsal, this may be the best result,” said Novita, quoted by Antara.
Novita said that the Indonesian Women’s National Futsal Team had difficulties at the start of the match because they lost focus due to conceding a quick goal from Vietnam.
“Earlier in the first half we were careless so we lost a lot of goals,” said Novita.
Luis Estrela’s team tried to recover in the second half, but had difficulty scoring a goal because of Vietnam’s strong defense.
“But, in the second half we recovered but it was difficult to score,” said Novita.
Winning a silver medal, which is a new history for the Women’s National Futsal Team in the SEA Games, is considered the best result for Dinar Kartika and friends.
“Maybe this is the best result for Indonesian Women’s Futsal at the 2025 SEA Games,” said Novita.
