Acting (PJ) General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (
PBNU
) Zulfa Mustofa and Rais Aam did not attend the invitation to the rival plenary meeting held by Yahya Cholil Staquf alias Gus Yahya at the PBNU Building on Thursday (11/12).
Gus Yahya has distributed invitations to 216 members to attend the plenary meeting.However, the meeting was only attended by 78 personnel.
“A week ago we sent a letter to all members of the PBNU Plenary from Mustasyar, Syuriyah Daily, A’wan, Tanfidziyah, institutions and autonomous bodies,” said Gus Yahya at a press conference after the meeting at the PBNU Building, Jakarta, Thursday (11/12).

“We sent a total of 216 personnel an invitation to attend the Plenary Meeting this afternoon, and then 78 personnel from all these elements attended,” he continued.
However, due to Rais Aam’s absence, according to him, the plenary meeting could not be held so the meeting was changed to a coordination meeting.
“Well, because on this occasion Rais Aam was not present with us, it is impossible to continue this forum as a Plenary Meeting. And the agreement from the forum is to change the status of this meeting to a Coordination Meeting with the main focus on disaster management issues, the impact of natural disasters that occur in various regions,” he explained.

At the location, Zulfa Mustofa was not visible.The meeting was held behind closed doors from the media.Starting at around 13.45 WIB and ending around 16.00 WIB.
According to invitation letter Number 4803/PB.01/A.I.01.01/99/12/2025, a plenary meeting should be held with an agenda of, among other things, Program Evaluation, Organizational Consolidation, and Disaster Management.
In the letter, Mustasyar, the Syuriyah Daily Manager, A’wan, the Tanfidziyah Daily Manager, the Chairman of the PBNU Institute and the General Chair of the Central Leadership of the NU Autonomous Body were also invited.
Previously, Gus Yahya admitted to inviting Zulfa Mustofa to this plenary.However, not in his position as Acting Ketum.
“We’ll invite you tomorrow,” said Gus Yahya after an audience with the National Police Reform Acceleration Committee at the State Secretariat Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/12).
