Arkhan Fikri’s name is not on the player list

As soon as Indra handles Indonesia U-23 for the 2025 SEA Games, Arkhan’s name is always on the call list.However, Arkhan’s role in the squad began to decrease.
In two test matches against India U-23 in October, Arkhan appeared once.He was a reserve in the first match and a starter in the second match.
Furthermore, in the trial match against Mali, Arkhan’s name was not included in the list of players twice.Indra said that at that time Arkhan’s condition was still being observed.
Arkhan is said to have not fully recovered from his hamstring injury.Because of that, Indra didn’t want to force Arkhan to appear against Mali.Recovery is considered more important.
“Arkhan Fikri is still waiting, maybe another week or so. Yesterday at the last ultrasound there were lots of changes in his hamstring when he was playing at the club,” said Indra.
However, after the international break, Arkhan appeared to defend Arema FC.This 20 year old player started when Persebaya and Arema drew 1-1 on 22 September.
In the match at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Arkhan appeared for 82 minutes.At first glance, Arkhan was not injured when he was replaced in the match.
Right on Thursday (27/11), Indra announced the list of 23 Indonesian U-23 players for the 2025 SEA Games. The name Arkhan Fikri was not included in the list.
Indra said the exclusion of eight players, including Arkhan, was in accordance with the evaluation results.This exclusion is said to be in line with the team’s needs at the 2025 SEA Games.
“This decision was taken after a thorough evaluation based on data available during the training camp in October and November,” said Indra as quoted by the PSSI release.
“As well as observations of players while playing in the Super League which were carried out with the coaching staff and team performance,” explained Indra.
