expressed his reflections on the last six years of battling cancer.He admits that there have been many changes in the last six years, especially regarding mindsets.
In an upload on Instagram on Sunday (15/12), Sheila Dara’s husband admitted that now he is more grateful for everything in his life that he previously did not realize.

“Thank you, Cancer, for the last 6 years,” wrote Vidi in the upload caption.
“Today is exactly 6 years since I became acquainted with God’s gift in the form of cancer. There have been many changes since that day. Many priorities have changed. My mindset has shifted,” wrote Vidi in the black background upload.
“And the way I see the world, being grateful for things I never realized before, and being able to see a trial as a lesson, you have changed me a lot,” he continued.
“Thank you, Cancer, because of you I have learned a lot over the last six years. The meaning of patience, the meaning of surrender, the meaning of sincerity, and the meaning of loving people sincerely, completely,” said Vidi.
“I hope that our meeting can end as soon as possible according to permission from the Almighty. But I fully accept that you have been part of me for the past six years,” he said.

Vidi Aldiano previously announced a hiatus from work in early November 2025 in order to focus on his health and recovery from the kidney cancer he has had for the last few years.
Even so, Vidi will still do some of the work, such as preparing material for the new album which will be released next year, and related to agreements with brands.
It’s just that Vidi will take a break from performing or filming as he has been doing during his cancer treatment.
Vidi Aldiano revealed that he had cancer in 2019. In December 2019, the singer, born in 1990, underwent surgery to remove kidney cancer in Singapore.
Vidi himself once said that he refused to be called a cancer fighter and gave up and surrendered to the side effects of chemotherapy drugs.
In September 2023, Vidi confessed that the cancer cells he was suffering from had spread to a number of points and required routine treatment every 3 weeks.
In June 2025, Vidi said the cancer in his body had spread.He then revealed that the medicine he was given was the first medicine the doctor gave him when he was diagnosed with cancer in Singapore.
Vidi Aldiano is also often hit with oblique comments regarding his appearance, which some netizens think is getting thinner.However, he also said that his body was getting thinner due to his strict diet after having one of his kidneys removed.
