“Let’s pray together for our friends in Sumatra, Indonesia who were hit by floods, especially in Aceh,” wrote the Instagram account upload @upinipinofficial, Friday (19/12).
“O Allah, protect them and hope they recover quickly,” continued Upin and Ipin’s prayer.

There are three provinces affected by floods and landslides, namely Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (Sumbar).The number of victims of this major disaster is increasing.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that 1,071 people died as a result of the disaster in the three provinces.This number increased from the 1,068 people who were reported to have died on Thursday (18/12).
There were three deaths found.In detail, each body was found in Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli and Langkat.
Meanwhile, the number of victims still on the wanted list has decreased to 185 names.
“The number of names still on the wanted list has decreased by five, from 190 to a total of 185 today,” said Head of the BNPB Data and Information Center Abdul Muhari in a press conference via YouTube, Friday (19/12).
The number of refugees also decreased from the previous 537,185 people to 526,868 people.
SAR operations are still being carried out in the three affected provinces, namely four sectors in North Sumatra, five sectors in West Sumatra and six districts in Aceh.BNPB revealed that 27 districts/cities are also still under extended emergency response status.
