This time, Trump struck a different tone than when Mamdani was still campaigning.The atmosphere in the Oval Office is also friendly, warm and respectful.

He later said, “I met a guy who really wants to see New York great again.”
Trump even said that Mamdani’s track record was unusual.He came from a background in the middle of nowhere and is now in the world spotlight, especially after becoming elected mayor.
“It’s incredible what he’s done,” Trump said
Perhaps Mamdani’s landslide victory is part of what pushed Trump to find common ground with democratic socialists.
On this occasion, Mamdani gave Trump a good impression and focused on discussing the cost of living and affordability in New York.
At a separate time, Mamdani also said that 1 in 10 people who voted for Trump voted for him in the New York Pilwalkot.
Those voters did so because they were looking for a leader who could address the cost of living and affordability. “I intend to make it clear to President Trump that I will work with him on a variety of agendas that can benefit New Yorkers,” he said Thursday.
Mamdani then said, “If the agenda is to hurt New Yorkers, I will be the first to say so.”
