The Semarang SAR Office deployed 500 joint personnel to search for land victims

, Central Java, on Saturday (22/11).
The deployment was carried out after the search operation entered its 7th day.
Head of the Semarang SAR Office, Budiono, said that the hundreds of personnel would also be supported by 23 heavy equipment and six sniffer dogs.

He said the search would still focus on sectors A and C.
“The weather is observed to be cloudy, but it is hoped it will be sunny during the day to make the search easier,” he said, Saturday (22/11) as quoted by Antara.
He said that as of Friday (21/11) the SAR team had found and evacuated the bodies of 10 landslide victims.
Apart from that, he said, during the search process two body parts were also found that had not been identified.
He said there were still 18 victims who had not been found and the search was still ongoing.
Previously, a landslide hit Pandanarum Village on Sunday (16/11) which was thought to have been triggered by very high rainfall which poured down the hilly area for more than several hours.
Dozens of people were reported missing due to being buried by landslide material.
