admitted he was disappointed because he failed several times to bring home trophies at major film awards events, such as the Oscars at the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and BAFTA Awards.
The 29-year-old man has been nominated twice for Best Actor at the Academy Awards, three times for the BAFTA Awards, and four times for the Golden Globe Awards.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend since 2023 said he was not the only one who felt this disappointment.
“If there were five people at an awards show and four of them went home and didn’t win, do you think those four people wouldn’t be sitting in a restaurant going, ‘Damn, we didn’t win?'” Chalamet said.
“I know a lot of humble actors might say, ‘That was fun’. But I’m sure there are also many who in their hearts say, ‘Damn!'”, Chalamet was reported as saying

Chalamet previously said in an interview with SiriusXM that losing at an awards event felt unique to him.
According to him, preparing a victory speech and then going home empty-handed was an experience that made him rethink ego and expectations.
“It’s uniquely funny, coming home empty-handed and then having to tear up the manuscript of the victory speech that had been prepared,” said Chalamet.”You think to yourself, ‘You arrogant, narcissistic person! In what world do you think you would actually use that speech?'”
Even though he was disappointed with the defeat, Timothée Chalamet managed to win at the SAG Awards in February 2025 for his role as Bob Dylan in the film A Complete Unknown.
In his speech when winning the SAG Awards, Chalamet said he was on a quest for greatness.He emphasized that he didn’t care if he was considered ambitious.

“People can say I’m too naughty, they can say anything,” said Timothée Chalamet.”I also don’t want to pretend to be relaxed about works that I believe in.”
Currently Timothée Chalamet is in the midst of promoting his latest film Marty Supreme.In the film, he plays Marty Mauser who was inspired by the American table tennis player, Marty Reisman.
Chalamet’s performance in the film has again made him a strong candidate to win Best Actor at the Oscars.
The film premiered at the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6, 2025 and is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025 by A24.
