Asian currencies are mixed this afternoon.The Singapore dollar was minus 0.05 percent, the Thai baht was plus 0.02 percent, the Japanese yen was minus 0.09 percent, the Malaysian ringgit was plus 0.33 percent, and the South Korean won was minus 0.14 percent.
Meanwhile, the currencies of the majority of developed countries weakened.The British pound fell 0.05 percent, the Canadian dollar fell 0.04 percent, the Australian dollar plus 0.01 percent, the European euro weakened 0.03 percent, and the Swiss franc minus 0.05 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah was consolidating with a weakening tendency limited to the US dollar with the accent being economic data from both external and internal sources.
“Sentiment is mixed, pressured by the prospect of a BI interest rate cut, but risk-on sentiment is currently supportive,” he told
