This man, born 5 September 1981, is a former Uzbekistan national team player.He started his career in 1998 as a player for Neftchi Fergana.His main position is midfielder.
The player who once played for the South Korean club, Incheon United, hung up his boots in 2017. During his professional career, Kapadze had 119 caps with the Uzbekistan national team.

A year after hanging up his boots, in 2018, Kapadze became interim coach of Uzbekistan.Kapadze held this interim position for more than four months.He played four matches.
As a result, Uzbekistan suffered three defeats and one draw.Because of this, Kapadze’s work was not continued.He was unemployed for a year, before being proposed to again by Uzbekistan.
On 15 December 2019 he was appointed as coach of Uzbekistan U-19.He only played two matches until December 31 2020. This minimal number was due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As of January 1 2021, Kapadze managed the highest caste club in the Uzbekistan League, Olympic Tashkent.He will hold this position for three seasons or until July 31 2024.
He played a total of 101 matches with Olympic Tashkent.The result was 37 wins, 31 draws and 33 losses.His winning percentage in this club is 36.63.
While coaching Olympic Tashkent, Kapadze also managed the Uzbekistan national team from January 1 2022 to October 8 2023 and Uzbekistan U-23 from January 1 2022 to July 31 2024.
In his second period with the White Wolves, nicknamed the Uzbekistan national team, Kapadze recorded five wins and one loss.Performance has increased sharply compared to before.
With Uzbekistan U-23, Kapadze’s progress was much higher.A total of 29 matches were played, with 16 wins, seven draws and six losses.
Kapadze’s achievements with Uzbekistan U-23 were twice runner up in the U-23 Asian Cup, namely 2022 and 2024. In the same year he was named the Best Uzbekistan Coach.
This brilliant performance at U-23 led to him being asked to coach the Uzbekistan national team for just a month, namely in July 2024. The result was one draw and two defeats from three matches.
However, the position of head coach of the Uzbekistan national team was only obtained permanently on January 22 2025. He played a total of eight matches with five wins and three draws.
Even though it is so impressive, the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFA) is still looking for a new head coach.Fabio Cannavaro was finally appointed as coach in October 2025.
Following Cannavaro’s arrival, Kapadze was asked to become assistant coach.This offer he refused.He prefers to look for new challenges by training outside Uzbekistan.
In November 2025, it is stated that there will be five parties interested in using Kapadze’s services.One of the four interested parties is believed to be the Indonesian National Team.
