from security or guarding to service.
Sigit said that currently the National Police is looking for references on appropriate models for handling actions.This, he said, was a form of fulfilling the community’s hopes that the National Police would always be adaptive.

He said that in providing demonstration services, the National Police will try to open communication channels so that dialogue can occur between mass groups and the targets.
“For example, connecting with related institutions that will be used as a place to convey opinions, whether it is the regional government, DPRD, DPR so that effective dialogue can occur and then the message gets through,” he said.
Sigit explained that this effort was made to prevent distortions in the demonstration, in particular so that no group took advantage of the demonstration moment for bad purposes.
Furthermore, said Sigit, officers will also differentiate demonstration masses from mass groups that have the potential to cause riots.That way, when a riot occurs it can be measured and quickly handled.
“We will of course adopt this and then make improvements to our security and service patterns for expressing opinions in public in the future,” he explained.
Furthermore, Sigit said that his party also invited the Hong Kong Police Force (Hong Kong Police Force) as one of the speakers at the 2025 regional unit heads (Kasatwil) meeting with the aim of looking for references for models for handling demonstrations or demonstrations in the country.
“We invited speakers from the Hong Kong Police, because we want to find models for handling actions, especially related to freedom of expression,” he said.
