“There were about four 30,000 mAh batteries in a pile that fell. Then according to witness testimony, after the fall, sparks appeared,” said Susatyo in a press conference, Friday (12/12).
He said there were also many other batteries in that place.The fire then broke out and burned down the 1st floor of the building.
“Especially in the inventory room, where drone lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries are stored. The immediate trigger factor is damaged LiPo batteries, which were stacked earlier, where there were 6 to 7 error or damaged batteries mixed with other batteries,” he said.
He also revealed that the condition of the building did not have emergency doors or smoke sensors.
“There is no fire protection system. There is no evacuation route,” said Susatyo.
He said the building has an IMB and SLF for offices, but is also used as a storage area or warehouse.
In the fire case, the police named the Main Director of Terra Drone Indonesia with the initials MW as a suspect.MW was charged with Article 187 of the Criminal Code, Article 188 of the Criminal Code and Article 359 of the Criminal Code
