Persija Jakarta achieved a 2-0 victory over PSIM Yogyakarta during its 97th birthday celebration in the 14th week of the 2025/2026 Super League at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Friday (28/11) evening WIB.
This victory made Persija continue its positive trend of six consecutive wins.Persija has now collected 29 points in second place and is only four points adrift of Borneo FC who sits at the top of the 2025/2026 Super League standings.
Ezequiel Vidal fired a free kick in the 12th minute.His shot was aimed at the goal but Andritany Ardhiyasa brilliantly saved his goal from being conceded.

Seven minutes later it was Persija’s turn to have a chance.Runtukahu’s Exel header took advantage of a dead ball execution that was still on the left side of the PSIM goal.
Two minutes later Persija threatened again.Emaxwell Souza fired a hard shot from outside the penalty box which was still just above the PSIM crossbar.
Persija got a golden opportunity to open the scoring in the 34th minute.Witan Sulaeman was in a free position but his shot in the penalty box went sideways to the PSIM goal.
Persija increasingly pressed PSIM’s defense until nearing the end of the first half.Opportunities were obtained by Allano Brendon to Eksel Runtukahu but did not result in an opening goal.
Persija again wasted a golden opportunity in the 54th minute.Allano’s shot which escaped the offside trap only narrowly aimed at the right side of the PSIM goal guarded by Khairul Fikri.
An attempt to score a goal against PSIM was made by Van Basty Sousa in the 61st minute.It’s just that Van Basty’s free kick still hasn’t found its target.
Persija wasted another chance to score a goal in the 70th minute.Tubarao’s cross was met by Witan’s first time shot in the penalty box which was still over the PSIM crossbar.
The goal Persija had been waiting for finally came in the 77th minute.The pass given by Witan Sulaeman was perfectly completed by Emaxwell Souza to change the score to 1-0.
Persija did not relax the pressure after winning.As a result, Persija was able to increase their lead to 2-0 in second half injury time.
This time Maxwell was the creator.Allano didn’t waste the pass from the Brazilian player to break into PSIM’s goal and the score changed to 2-0.
