Chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN) Sumardji stated that his party plans to interview five potential coaches

in the next few weeks.
This was conveyed by Sumardji in a press conference session at GBK Arena, Jakarta, Thursday (20/11).Later, this interview task will be carried out by the PSSI Technical Director, Alexander Zwiers and the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco).
“Regarding these five coaches, we and Alex and Exco were appointed, one of whom I was asked to interview and we will probably do so in the next weeks. Of the five names we will definitely choose the best,” said Sumardji.

Sumardji hopes that the five prospective Indonesian National Team coaches can take part in the interview session as planned.
“Hopefully the five names will not be a problem. We ask for patience because we want to get a coach who suits the character of our players and can bring our national team to success,” he said.
Meanwhile, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nunus asked the public to give PSSI time to process the names of the five prospective coaches.
Yunus also emphasized that PSSI would not release the names of the five coaches who were candidates to coach the Indonesian National Team as a replacement for Patrick Kluivert, who was expelled after failing to make it to the 2026 World Cup.
“Several things are being taken into consideration because there is no certainty which of the five that need to be selected. Please understand that we cannot convey these names to protect these names,” he said.
“Hopefully a decision can be made as soon as possible and an agreement for the team will be decided and the procedure will be submitted to the Exco and then decided together.”
A number of names are widely associated with the Indonesian National Team.Starting from the former Uzbekistan coach, Timur Kapadze, Ireland coach Heimir Hallgrimsson to the former Iraqi architect from Spain, Jesus Casas.
