Mount Semeru
and flood vibrations were no longer recorded.
The reason, said Khofifah, is that even though monitoring of the Semeru eruption has ended, Level IV or Alert activity status remains in effect.
“Indeed, it has ended, but the status is still alert, so we continue to be prepared to carry out treatment, and ensure that all residents are safe,” said Khofifah when inspecting the affected locations, through her official statement, Thursday (20/11)

Khofifah directly led the handling of the impact of the Semeru eruption. He visited a number of affected locations, starting from the evacuation point in Pronojiwo District, to be precise at SDN 4 Supiturang, visiting the public kitchen, Sumbersari Village, and the Gladak Perak Bridge.
According to East Java BPBD data as of Thursday (20/11) at 05.40 WIB, the total number of refugees spread across several points, both in Pronojiwo District and Candipuro District, is approximately 346 people.
At SDN 4 Supiturang, a total of 64 people are still displaced.Khofifah said one of the government’s main focuses was strengthening health for disaster victims.
Currently, most of the displaced residents have returned to their homes, but there are also those who are still staying in refugee camps.
“What we are maximizing is of course the refugee gathering point. Well, at this gathering point, the Community Health Center has been deployed. Because we really need to strengthen the health team so that each one is monitored,” he said.
“Sometimes they are in a certain psychological position, for example their blood pressure rises, or maybe they have an acute respiratory infection. So, for this acute respiratory tract, the examination and treatment process must also be intensified,” he added.
The former Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia also took the time to chat with the community and ask about what needs needed to be met.To the children present, he distributed toy packages.
Khofifah also tried to cook ready-to-eat meals which were then distributed to the refugees. This fast food is one of the assistance provided by the East Java Provincial Government to refugees in Lumajang.
“The food has been prepared by the Public Kitchen. They are ready for all families in every house. So, we provide support for both their health and other needs here,” he said.
Finally, Khofifah visited the houses of affected residents in Gumuk Emas, Supiturang. There, officers had dispatched an excavator to clean the house which was buried in Semeru lava material.
