MBG
) initials AI was named a suspect after hitting a teacher and student at SDN Kalibaru 01 Pagi, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Thursday (11/12) yesterday.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Erick Frendruz said the determination of suspect AI was based on evidence that had been obtained by the police.

“We have named Brother AI as a suspect and we are confident in the evidence we have,” said Erick to reporters in his office, Friday (12/12).
AI has been detained at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters.Erick said AI was proven to have committed negligence which caused people to be injured.
The incident where the MBG car hit the teacher and dozens of students occurred last Thursday morning, when the students were gathered in the school yard for activities.
AI is a substitute driver whose job is to take MBG to SDN Kalibaru 01 Pagi.Even as a substitute driver, he had taken MBG to the school several times.
During the investigation, the police revealed that AI admitted that he had stepped on the car’s gas pedal incorrectly when he wanted to brake.
This accident injured 22 people consisting of students and teachers.There were around two people who suffered serious injuries.
Dozens of victims received treatment at Koja Regional Hospital and Cilincing Regional Hospital.The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) stated that they would bear all the costs of treating the victims.
