Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani won the men’s doubles title in badminton at the 2025 SEA Games, Sunday (14/12).
Sabar/Reza, who is one of Red and White’s mainstays in badminton, appeared as one of the pairs in the individual event apart from Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.
Sabar/Reza qualified for the final and faced one of the world’s elite men’s doubles, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.

Sabar/Reza and Aaron/Soh were involved in a fierce duel at the start of the first game.Scores draw from 1-1 to 6-6.Sabar/Reza then took the lead in scoring.
After winning 11-10, Sabar/Reza continued their good performance in the second half of the first game.Sabar/Reza dominated more and finished the match with a score of 21-14.
The fierce match continued in the second game.Sabar/Reza and Aaron/Soh took turns winning points.Sabar/Reza were again ahead 11-10 at the interval.
After taking a break, Sabar/Reza then saved points and were able to get a little further away from the pursuit of the Malaysian pair.
Sabar/Reza then led by two to three points and closed the final match with a score of 21-17.
This is Indonesia’s third gold medal in badminton.The men’s team team and Alwi Farhan first secured gold for Indonesia.
