The Indonesian National Futsal Team managed to beat Malaysia 2-1 in the 2025 SEA Games futsal match at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium, Thailand, Thursday (18/12) afternoon WIB.
This victory moved Indonesia up to second place in the standings.The Indonesian Futsal National Team, which collected six points, overtook Malaysia because of the superior goal difference.
The National Futsal Team managed to take a 1-0 lead after only four minutes of the match.The goal that put Indonesia ahead was scored by Evan Soumilena.

This goal started from Brian Ick’s horizontal pass towards Evan.The pivot of the Indonesian National Futsal Team then fired a close-range shot that shook the Malaysian goal.
A good game scheme then resulted in Indonesia’s second goal in the 13th minute.The fast attack carried out by Hector Souto’s men resulted in a goal being scored by Reza Gunawan.
Malaysia was then able to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 17th minute.Brian Ick had bad luck because his intention to intercept the Malaysian player’s pass ended up going into his own goal.
