SEA Games 2025
which is the 33rd edition in Thailand was officially opened at Rajamangala Stadium, Tuesday (9/12) evening.
The opening ceremony for the 2025 SEA Games was lively.A colossal feast was presented by the host.Typical Thai culture and arts are displayed on the Rajamangala field.
Contemporary music, traditional music and top Thai artists enlivened the opening.Fireworks and displays of modern art with advanced technology were displayed.

In the opening parade, Indonesia was represented by 69 people, consisting of athletes, coaches and officials.The Indonesian flag bearers at the opening were Robi Syianturi and Megawati Hangestri.
Robi was seen wearing a formal black suit, ulos and a traditional North Sumatran headband.Megawati wore a red kebaya combined with Tapis cloth and a Siger Lampung crown.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, welcomed the entire contingent who had attended.He hopes that all contingents will feel comfortable in Thailand.
After that, it was the turn of the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, to deliver a message in Thai.A moment later a Thai song was played.
The 2025 SEA Games officially opened after the torch brought by Vareeraya ‘ST’ Sukaseem from outside the stadium was carried around and lit in the furnace by Panipak Wongpattanakit.
The total number of Indonesian athletes taking part in the Southeast Asian Games is 1,021 athletes.This number has increased relatively sharply compared to the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.
The target set by the government in the SEA Games which will take place in the cities of Bangkok and Chonburi is 80 gold medals or third place in the final medal standings.
Before the opening, a number of sports competed.Some of them are football and badminton.For badminton, the Indonesian team team qualified for the final.
