“Why is Indonesia becoming positive?
despite all the challenges?
So during the trade war
announce, of course
the country that
affected
it is China. So we see a reconfiguration
supply chain,
where the global supply chain changes will be
shifted
to alternative countries,” he said in a media briefing at the HSBC Indonesia Office, Tuesday (9/12).
Delia said one of the alternative countries was Indonesia.Global companies, he continued, will relocate their factories to Indonesia.
In this way, Indonesia will benefit from getting investment and becoming part of the world’s new supply chain.
He said there were at least two reasons why Indonesia was being looked at as an alternative country.
First
, resource costs tend to be more competitive compared to other countries.
Second,
Indonesia has a very large domestic market.
“Alternative countries, like Indonesia, that is
well captured
to obtain investment and business opportunities.”We also see that many companies from China and many global investor companies are also relocating their manufacturing from China to Indonesia,” said Delisa.
“This of course increases new investment, expands production capacity and demand for raw materials and logistics in Indonesia,” he continued.
The HSBC Global Trade Pulse 2 survey was conducted in October 2025.The survey was conducted in 17 countries with a total of 6,750 respondents.
In Indonesia, there were 200 companies that were respondents. The companies surveyed varied, from multinationals, large local companies, to medium-sized companies.
