This ceremony was enlivened with fireworks.Local pop stars, dances and marching bands decorated the closing of the 2025 SEA Games.

Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, said the 2025 SEA Games ended smoothly and successfully.
“The organizing committee received extraordinary cooperation from all sectors, especially government officials, staff and the people of Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla, as well as the many public institutions and private sector organizations that support the SEA Games,” said Sirilatthayakorn as quoted by CNA.
The 2025 SEA Games were then closed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Thamanat Prompow, before the torch flame was extinguished.The SEA Games flag was then handed over to Malaysia, represented by the Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohammed Taufiq Bin Johari, as host of the next SEA Games.
The closing performance at the 2025 SEA Games closing ceremony from Daou Pittaya and Kratae who sang the song ‘We are The Champions and Can’t Stop The Feeling’ made the 20205 SEA Games officially end.
The next Southeast Asian sporting event will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the 2027 SEA Games on 18-29 September 2027.
