The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (
SBY
), admits that he has now left the world
politics
and chose a new path in life as an artist.
This statement was made by SBY when giving a scientific oration at the commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, East Java, Tuesday (11/11).
Initially, SBY admitted that he was asked by Chairman of the ITS Board of Trustees (MWA) Mohammad Nuh and ITS Chancellor Bambang Pramujati whether he had prepared presentation slides or not.

“Mr Nuh and the Chancellor asked, ‘Mr SBY, will you use it later?

no?’I said, ‘Wow, I haven’t used it for a long time

.”I am now an artist,” said SBY in front of the ITS academic community.
SBY also answered that he had not used presentation slides for a long time, because his current activities include painting, music and writing poetry and novels.
“My world is painting, playing music, writing poetry and preparing novels. While developing sports,” he said.
SBY revealed that being an artist makes him feel freer to express ideas, feelings and views on life.Without pressure or shackles.
“Then I am now freer to speak because I am no longer bound by regulatory protocols which sometimes leave someone shackled,” he said.
Since ending his term as president in 2014, SBY is known to have been active in painting and holding a number of fine art exhibitions.
