“There are indeed a few problems with Reza’s condition, especially at the ankle of his left leg,” said Sabar.
“This made Reza unable to play too freely today. Even so, we still tried to give our best in the match,” added Sabar.
According to Reza, the injury was suffered in the group stage. However, entering the semifinals the injury felt worse.
Reza, who won the 2025 SEA Games gold medal with Sabar, underwent therapy before the semifinals, but his recovery did not go as expected.
“Because I wanted to perform optimally to get to the semifinals, I was still pushing yesterday and the pain wasn’t as bad as today,” said Reza.
“Actually, there has been therapy but maybe it’s not enough. Even in the match, it still hurt a lot to take a step, so it was quite annoying and I couldn’t play freely,” said Reza continued.
