Medan Police continue to investigate the case of the suspected elementary school (SD) student
killed his biological mother
at their house in Medan Sunggal District, Medan City.
Investigators have examined 16 witnesses ranging from local residents, family, work friends, to expert witnesses.

“From the entire series of processes we have carried out, currently we have examined 16 witnesses. They consist of community witnesses, family, work friends and experts who we have involved to clarify the incident,” said Medan Police Chief, Police Commissioner Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak, Saturday (20/12/2025).
Calvijn said that the handling of this case was carried out professionally, carefully, and prioritized the principle of child protection.Investigators involved the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), a team of psychologists, and other related elements.
“Currently, teams from KPAI, the psychologist’s office and related teams have also gone directly to investigate and investigate the crime scene. We are doing everything so that the handling of this case is truly comprehensive,” he explained.
Calvijn added that the investigation is still ongoing and his party will convey the complete results to the public after the entire series of examinations is completed.
“Later, in the future, we will convey it in full to the public. Of all these series, we have carried out and are currently carrying out a thorough investigation,” he stressed.
Calvijn ensures that all children’s basic rights are fulfilled during the legal process.The child gets the right to worship, proper food, teacher assistance, and special supervision from policewomen officers.
“We ensure that we maintain children’s basic rights. Starting from the right to worship, food, education, to mentoring. We also accompany children by policewomen,” he said.
According to Calvijn, based on temporary monitoring, the child’s psychological condition shows positive development.
“Now the child feels more cheerful. We continue to monitor his condition together with a team of psychologists,” added Jean Calvijn.
