Meanwhile, the Bank Indonesia (BI) Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) reference rate put the rupiah at IDR 16,790 per US dollar in trading this afternoon.
Asian currencies vary.The Chinese yuan rose 0.64 percent, the Singapore dollar rose 0.15 percent, the Philippine peso weakened 0.11 percent, and the Malaysian ringgit rose 0.34 percent.

Furthermore, the South Korean won fell 0.16 percent, the Japanese yen fell 0.20 percent, and the Thai baht rose 0.02 percent.
In developed countries, exchange rate movements also vary.The British pound sterling rose 0.19 percent, the European euro plus 0.09 percent, the Swiss franc rose 0.16 percent, the Canadian dollar rose 0.09 percent, the Australian dollar strengthened 0.38 percent.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah moved flat and tended to weaken slightly against the US dollar due to the prospect of Bank Indonesia (BI) easing policy.
“The rupiah failed to capitalize on the widespread weakening of the dollar. The prospect of BI and government easing policies continues to weigh on the rupia,” he said
