This was conveyed by the attorney for Roy Suryo et al, Ahmad Khozinudin.His client considers what Jokowi did to be a criminal act so it is not appropriate to resolve it through mediation.
He also rejected the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission from intervening in the case.Ahmad also asked that the legal case not be dragged into the political realm.

“This is a legal case and there cannot be any institutional intervention that turns this legal case into a legal case into a political case,” he told reporters, Thursday (20/11).
He then asked the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission to evaluate the work of investigators who were deemed unprofessional and gave the impression of criminalizing their clients.
Ahmad gave an example of an attitude that was considered unprofessional because the investigation launched by the Ulama and Activist Defense Team (TPUA) at Bareskrim Polri regarding Jokowi’s fake diploma was stopped.
Meanwhile, he said, the report made by Jokowi at Polda Metro Jaya continued and even made his client a suspect.
“So we cannot be unfair, in the Jokowi case it is continued, while public reports related to complaints about fake diplomas are stopped,” he said.
On the other hand, Ahmad doubts that mediation between Jokowi and his client can take place.Because, in several lawsuits with mediation agendas held in a number of courts, Jokowi never attended.
“Especially when you see Joko Widodo’s brother, you can never take his word for it,” he said.
Previously, the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission received a proposal regarding the case of accusations of fake diplomas against the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to be resolved through mediation.
Chairman of the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission, Jimly Asshidiqie, claimed that the idea of mediation was proposed by political observer Faizal Assegaf in an audience at PTIK, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/11).
Jimly said that the mediation proposal was carried out by presenting Jokowi as the reporter and Roy Suryo Cs as the reportee.
“Mr Assegaf suggested earlier, how can we not mediate? ‘Oh that’s good’, try asking first whether they want to mediate. Both Jokowi and his family and Roy Suryo et al, whether they want to mediate,” he said.
