in the near future.
On the sidelines of attending the 2025 East Java PSSI Ordinary Congress at the Sheraton Hotel Surabaya, last Monday (17/11), Yunus revealed the matter of appointing a new coach without naming names.
“While the selection is still being carried out by the team, and as soon as possible, God willing, it will be announced as soon as possible,” said Yunus.

Yunus said that the name of the main coach is currently being discussed or selected.At the latest, he said, this will be announced next week.
“Hopefully it can be [announced] at the latest next week,” he said.
Yunus closed the meeting on the names of the prospective coaches.He emphasized that the final decision would be conveyed directly by PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir.
“You can’t say how many names, because the dynamics are running from several names. Hopefully the general chairman can announce them as soon as possible,” he said.
Including the name of the coach from Uzbekistan, Timur Kapadze, who has been widely discussed by the public and is rumored to be the next tactician for the Garuda National Team.
“Later, the names will be announced at the first opportunity by the general chairman,” he said.
At the end, Yunus said that PSSI itself did not have one
timeline
definitely about the appointment of a new coach.Because his party is still lobbying and communicating with the candidates.

because of course communication with prospective coaches takes time so there is no time limit.”What is certain is that PSSI will continue to pursue it as quickly as possible so that our coach can be decided as soon as possible,” he concluded.
