from Israel, Yehuda Kaploun, was in the spotlight after his statement that offended Indonesia went viral on social media.
Kaploun is United States President Donald Trump’s special envoy in efforts to combat global anti-Semitism.
His name became increasingly popular after footage of his interview with Israeli media, the Jerusalem Post, circulated widely and sparked the attention of Indonesian netizens.

Kaploun openly said that he had tried to change negative sentiments about Jews through textbooks and reading in Indonesia.

, Yehuda Kaploun was born in Israel to a Chabad-Lubavitch family in Kfar Chabad, near Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport.
Kaploun is an entrepreneur and fundraiser from Miami.He was selected by US President Donald Trump as the new special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism.
“Yehuda was a successful businessman, and a staunch supporter of the Jewish Religion and the rights of his people to live and worship free from persecution,” Trump said on Truth Social, as quoted by the Times of Israel.
Kaploun is also a community advocate or intermediary who quietly advances community interests, bridges relationships, or helps individuals.
According to a shop owner, Yitzchok Spalter has known Kaploun for more than four decades.He regularly pays off the debts of buyers at the kosher grocery store near his house.
“He came in and said, ‘I know there’s a family that can’t pay their bill. Here’s a check for X dollars. Subtract it from their bill,'” Spalter said in an interview.
“He was a kind person. He did good things that other people didn’t even know about,” he added.
Currently, Kaploun serves as Co-Founder and President of RussKap Water, LLC.A company that “specializes in proven Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) technology.”
Kaploun also worked with Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel to establish the Moses and Aaron Foundation.
The foundation is a charity committed to children with special needs and their families.”
