He said the disruption to MRT operations was due to fallen trees which had an impact on electricity flow.
“One of the reasons was because the electric current above hit a tree close to Ratu Plaza. Well, it went up, then hit the tree, causing a short circuit,” he said.
The fallen tree was previously reported to have hit a car and the roof of the MRT underground line around the Senayan Roundabout, precisely on Jalan Sisingamaraja.
Head of Operations at the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Robby Hefados, said that so far there had been no reports regarding casualties in this incident.
Transjakarta is known to have shifted and shortened a number of routes due to the fallen tree incident.
At the same time, MRT Jakarta operations experienced disruption on Thursday (20/11) at around 11.00 WIB.As a result, passengers were evacuated at a number of stations.
