DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that his party had held a special meeting regarding permits for buildings in Jakarta.There are around 3,500 buildings whose permits have been checked.
“Earlier we had a special meeting for that. 3,500 buildings were inspected. Then there were several buildings that we finally removed, there were 10 buildings, we gave them SP-1,” said Pramono in Central Jakarta, Thursday (18/12).

Pramono was reluctant to explain the identity of the 10 buildings that were given SP-1.
He only said that this step was taken because the DKI Provincial Government did not want a repeat of the building fire that claimed victims like in Cempaka Baru.
“The building does not meet the requirements set by Citata (Creation, Spatial Planning and Land Service), PTSP (One Stop Integrated Services), Damkar (Fire Extinguisher), Employment. We had a meeting earlier about that,” he said.
Pramono said the provincial government would take further action if the 10 buildings did not complete the required permits.
“I have even asked for a Gubernatorial Regulation (Governor’s Regulation) or Regional Regulation (Regional Regulation) to be prepared. In the past, if there was something like that, the Jakarta Government could dismantle it through Satpol PP. But with the new regulation, that’s not allowed, we can’t, because at that time we ourselves didn’t want to,” he said.
