Arif Satria and Deputy Chief Amarulla Octavian went to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (24/11).
Arif said he came to the Palace to get direction from Prabowo regarding the direction of BRIN’s future development.

“Because BRIN focuses on strengthening research and innovation, it can
support
“various strategic programs from the president,” said Arif.
Arif admitted that he had prepared a number of materials to meet Prabowo today, including about innovations from BRIN and various research institutions in Indonesia regarding food, energy and various strategic projects.
He said that in the future BRIN will accelerate and collaborate with various ministries, thereby producing policies that are based on the results of scientific research.
“And of course also preparations for collaboration with Danantara. Yes, it is a very strategic institution in Indonesia, so it is hoped that BRIN can make a contribution in the form of strengthening R&D for the businesses of companies under Danantara,” he said.
Apart from Arif, Prabowo also summoned the Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo.However, he didn’t say anything when he arrived at the Palace.
Arif and Amarulla were appointed as leaders of BRIN on Monday (10/11).They were inaugurated at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta.
Arif is the Chancellor of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) University for the 2017-2022 and 2023-2028 periods.
Meanwhile, Amarulla is a retired Indonesian Navy officer with the rank of Vice Admiral and a scientist in the Indonesian Defense Sector who previously served as Deputy Head of BRIN since 2023.
