President Prabowo Subianto directly inspected the installation of a bailey bridge in Teupin Mane to temporarily replace a bridge that collapsed due to flash floods in Juli District, Bireuen Regency,
Aceh Province
, Sunday (7/12) afternoon.
Checking the construction of the bridge is the first agenda of President Prabowo’s working visit to Aceh Province today.
“We are looking at one of the bailey bridges which they are continuing to work on (to complete it, ed.), it is hoped that in one week it will be open, and from here we can continue to open three more bridges leading to Bener Meriah and Takengon and above,” said President Prabowo after inspecting the assembly and installation of the Teupin Mane bailey bridge, Bireuen, Aceh.

President Prabowo, when he arrived at the location of the bailey bridge installation, received a presentation from the Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo regarding the installation of the bailey bridge.
The President then continued walking towards the bridge’s steel frame which was being assembled by a number of Indonesian Army soldiers.
Throughout the inspection, President Prabowo was accompanied by the Governor of Aceh Muzakir Manaf and the Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo and other officials.
The bailey bridge is a temporary structure installed to connect vital routes in Juli District, Bireuen Regency, which connects Bireuen with Takengon City in Central Aceh Regency.
On the banks of the Teupin Mane River, where the current was still quite strong, President Prabowo gave direct instructions to Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo.After that, President Prabowo continued to greet the community, refugees from flash floods and landslides, who enthusiastically welcomed the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to Bireuen Regency.
Bireuen is one of the districts affected by flash floods in Aceh on November 25 2025. A number of residents’ houses, especially in Juli District, then roads and bridges were damaged and collapsed due to the flash flood.
Residents whose houses were washed away by flash floods are currently taking refuge at several safe points in Juli District.
President Prabowo, after checking the installation of the bailey bridge, continued to check the condition of the refugees at the refugee post in Gampong Pante Baro, Juli District, Bireuen, which is not far from the location of the Teupin Mane Bridge.
