President of the Republic of Indonesia
Prabowo Subianto
said that all Indonesian people have the right to have a decent home while attending the 50,030 KPR FLPP Mass Contract and Handover of Keys to subsidized houses in Serang, Banten, Saturday (20/12).
Prabowo symbolically handed over the keys to 10 recipients who came from various backgrounds, ranging from teachers, blind people, massage therapists, mobile coffee traders, online motorcycle taxi drivers, seblak sellers, fishermen, to barbers.
“There are household members who can own a house from their own salary. There are teachers, there are motorbike taxi drivers, and this is what we want. Thank you all once again,” said Prabowo in his speech.

Prabowo said the main goal of Indonesian independence was to achieve people’s welfare, including ensuring that ordinary people had decent homes.
“Our goal of independence is a prosperous people. Today is our effort to help the weakest people, those who are not yet strong, who want to live honorably, want to live a decent life with a decent quality of life,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo said that the mass contract program for 50,030 subsidized houses was a concrete step by the government to improve the quality of life for low-income people.
“They must have a decent house. This is a very proud effort, but it is still far from what we have to achieve,” he said.
On the same occasion, Prabowo also emphasized the importance of clean government so that the benefits of development are truly felt by the people.
“If those who provide services are not good or honest, wealth will not reach the people. A clean government is the key to the revival of a nation,” he said.
Prabowo is proud and happy with the mass agreement. However, he realizes that his dream of seeing all Indonesians owning a home is still far from being achieved, because there are still 29 million people in Indonesia who do not own a home.
“This is a very proud effort, but we are still far from what we have to achieve. Today I feel happy. Although, I realize that we still have a long way to go, our dreams are still far away, 29 million of our people still don’t have a home,” said Prabowo in his speech.
“Our goal of independence is a prosperous people. After 80 years, we have to ask, are our people prosperous? There are still many of our people living in conditions that we cannot yet say are prosperous,” added Prabowo.
