A police station in Kashmir,

, exploded and killed nine people and injured 31 people on Saturday (15/11).It is believed that the explosion was an accident and originated from confiscated explosives stored in the building.
Even so, the police station explosion caused a stir because it occurred several days after the car explosion in New Delhi which killed several people.

, the accident that caused the police station to explode occurred in Nowgam.Meanwhile, the stored explosives came from Faridabad, Haryana, and were obtained earlier this week.
The regional police director general, Nalin Prabhat, said samples of the material found had actually been sent for further forensic examination on Thursday (13/11).
Prabhat assured that the procedure had been carried out with “extreme caution” due to its “unstable and sensitive nature”.
“However, unfortunately during this process (Friday) at around 11.20 pm, an accidental explosion occurred. Any further speculation about the cause of this incident is unnecessary,” Prabhat said.
The victims included police personnel, forensic team members, and two crime photographers as well as other members of the local government.Apart from that, the police station was badly damaged and surrounding buildings were also affected.
However, the explosion was apparently claimed by the militant organization People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF).Local media said the organization was close to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group.Police later denied the claim.
JeM is said to have been involved in the 2001 attack on the Indian parliament, and the 2019 Pulwama suicide bombing that killed 40 security personnel.
“The claims of PAFF or any other Pakistani terrorist group are patently false, baseless and dangerous!”Jammu and Kashmir police said in a post on social media.
The blast came days after a devastating explosion on Monday (10/11) that killed at least 12 people and injured 30 others in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
The incident was the most significant security incident since April 22, when 26 mostly Hindu civilians were killed at the tourist site of Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir, sparking clashes with Pakistan.
