The Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit officially appointed the speaker
Evie Effendi
as a suspect in a case of alleged domestic violence (KDRT) reported by his biological child.
Apart from Evie, the police also named three other people as suspects in the same case.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Bandung Police, Commissioner Anton, said that his party had sent a summons for questioning of the suspects next week.

“For this case, we have named the person concerned along with three other people as suspects and we will carry out an examination. We have sent a summons next week for an examination at the Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit office,” said Anton, Friday (5/12/2025).
According to Anton, the alleged article refers to the Domestic Violence Law according to the report made by the reporter with the initials NAT (19), who is known to be Evie Effendi’s biological child.
“The article alleged under the Domestic Violence Law is in accordance with the report made by her child,” said Anton.
When asked about the identities of the three other suspects, Anton said he still had family ties to Evie.
“There are still relatives of the suspect too,” he said.
The suspect’s examination schedule is planned for next week.However, the police have not yet confirmed whether Evie and the other suspects will attend or not.
“We schedule it for Tuesday and Wednesday, then we will check whether the person concerned can attend or not,” said Anton.
Regarding the possibility of forced pick-up, Anton emphasized that his party would still follow procedures.
“Later we will check first. If the reasons are accepted, if not we will send a second summons,” he said.
Previously, in August 2025, Evie Effendi was reported by her son with the initials NAT for alleged physical violence related to income and education costs.The report is registered with number LP/B/985/VII/2025/SPKT/POLRESTABES BANDUNG/POLDA WEST JAVA.
In that case, the police have examined a number of witnesses.The reporter’s attorney also said that at least five acts of violence were allegedly committed by the reporter against his client in July 2025.
