as Acting Chairman of the PDIP Central Java DPD is not a form of resignation, but rather a consolidation task that has been completed.
Chair of the PDIP DPP Executive Election Winning Division, Deddy Yevri Hanteru Sitorus, said that FX Rudy’s assignment as Acting Chair of the Central Java PDIP DPD was temporary and focused on party consolidation.

According to him, this task is now nearing the end ahead of the Central Java PDIP DPD Regional Conference (Konferda).
“It’s not the chairman of the DPD who is the executive of the DPD, because his task has ended to consolidate the party,” said Deddy, on the sidelines of attending the opening of the Regional Conference (Konferda) and Simultaneous Branch Conference (Konfercab) of East Java PDIP, at the Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya, Saturday (20/12).
Deddy said the PDIP conference process in Central Java would be carried out at the end of December, after PDIP conferences in other provinces.This is because Central Java is an important and strategic region for the party bearing the bull symbol.
“And later Central Java will be the closing of the entire consolidation process. So, yesterday there was a plan, but it was postponed due to requests for it to be closed because Central Java is an important area for us,” he said.
Regarding the approval for FX Rudy’s resignation from the position of Acting Chair of the Central Java PDIP DPD, Deddy emphasized that the process is still ongoing at the party’s highest leadership level, namely PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“Is that still being processed by the general chairman,” he said.
Likewise, the Head of Ideology and Cadre Development of the PDIP DPP, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, emphasized that FX Rudy remains part of the PDIP even though he no longer serves as Acting Chair of the DPD.
“So, he stepped down as PLT chairman of the DPD but he remains as an ordinary member or cadre,” said Djarot.
Djarot added that party consolidation in Central Java is basically almost complete and we are just waiting for the momentum of the Regional Conference to definitively elect the Chairman of the Central Java PDIP DPD.
“Earlier it was said that the consolidation task was almost complete, the momentum for the regional conference to elect the DPD chairman remained,” he concluded.
