General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered all ranks to mitigate and anticipate the impact of the signal cyclone during the implementation of Operation Lilin 2025.
Operation Candle 2025 will begin during the 2026 Christmas and New Year holidays for 14 days from December 20 to January 4.
Sigit reminded all members to increase their vigilance and pay special attention to preparing mitigation steps that might be taken.

“It is an important note that this time we are facing the potential for cyclone Senyar which will then turn back towards Java, towards Sulawesi,” he said during the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting, Tuesday (16/12).
“Of course, this then becomes an extra concern and we need to add new equipment facilities that we have prepared at the integrated command post to deal with potential disasters,” he added.
Sigit explained that Operation Lilin 2025 would involve 146,701 joint personnel consisting of 77,637 Polri personnel, 13,775 TNI personnel and 55,289 personnel from all relevant stakeholders.
He said that later 2,903 security posts would also be built throughout the region, starting with 1,807 security posts around worship locations and tourist attractions.
Then 763 service posts on arterial routes to be used as temporary rest areas and health services for motorists.As well as 333 integrated posts as operational control points.
“For Operation Candle 2025 there are 44,436 security objects consisting of churches, shopping centers, terminals, train stations, ports, airports, tourist attractions and celebration objects,” he said.
Finally, he emphasized that all members should also be prepared to face disasters that might occur during Operation Lilin.He requested that not only personnel but facilities and infrastructure must also be well prepared.
“We must also always be prepared to face existing disasters by preparing equipment related to activities ranging from search and rescue to evacuation,” he said.
“Also the equipment needed to help during this evacuation activity must of course be prepared at integrated posts which are different from usual situations,” he added.
