Dr Pradono Handojo explained the condition of the 13 victims

“As of this afternoon, 12 o’clock on November 10, we are still treating 13 people. 11 are being treated as regular inpatients, while two people are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Care Unit (HCU),” said Pradono when met at RSIJ Cempaka Putih, Monday afternoon.
He added that since the incident, the Emergency Room (IGD) of RSIJ Cempaka Putih has received 49 patients who were victims of the explosion.In general, the victims received treatment for their ears due to the blast wave.

“Almost all of the 13 people who were treated had their condition gradually improve. In general, we found quite serious trauma to the hearing area. Some had complete perforations in the eardrum, some also had partial ones,” he said.
For the two patients who are still in the intensive care unit, Pradono said that both of them are showing positive progress even though they have not been allowed to go home.
“This morning he started to open his eyes in the ICU and he was able to start moving his arms and legs according to commands. Yesterday he didn’t, but thank God he can today. On this trip he still needs quite a lot of recovery efforts because there are quite a lot of burns on the face area, then there is also a fracture in the upper jaw area, and also several other things that make it impossible for him to go home immediately,” he explained.
The condition of the alleged perpetrator
Pradono also confirmed that the alleged perpetrator who caused the explosion at SMAN 72 was also receiving medical treatment at his hospital.However, he emphasized that the hospital did not have the authority to explain further.
“Of course the alleged perpetrator’s condition is also getting better, but we did not get authority from the police to tell us more about his condition,” he said.
The explosion incident occurred at SMA 72, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta on Friday (7/11) at around 12.15 WIB.The origin of the explosion came from a mosque where Friday prayers were being held and resulted in many victims.
From the latest report on the information board at the RSIJ Cempaka Putih Service Post, Monday (10/11) at 12.00 WIB, it was recorded that in three hospitals, RSIJ Cempaka Putih, Yarsi Hospital and Pertamina Jaya Hospital, there were 70 victims.Of this number, 38 patients have been discharged, while 32 others are still undergoing medical treatment.
Based on the latest report, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) said that students at SMA 72 North Jakarta had returned to the online teaching and learning process on Monday (10/11).This will continue to be evaluated periodically and it is hoped that the offline teaching and learning process will be held again starting Monday (17/11).
