together with the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KASAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali released the Ministry of Agriculture’s humanitarian assistance for disaster-affected communities in Sumatra, Tuesday morning (16/12) at 07.00 WIB, from Kolinlamil Pier, Tanjung Priok Port.
Apart from Amran, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, Deputy KASAL, Managing Director of Perum Bulog, Managing Director of PIHC and echelon I officials of the Ministry of Agriculture were also present at the event.
This aid delivery was the third stage which was distributed to the Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra regions, using the Indonesian Navy’s KRI Makassar-590.

“In accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, we are helping to ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. This is the third shipment and it departed this morning at 07.00 WIB,” said Minister of Agriculture Amran after directly inspecting the delivery process, Tuesday (16/12).
Amran explained that the government aid that had previously been distributed reached 44,000 tons of rice, 6,000 tons of cooking oil and various other basic necessities with a total value of around IDR 1.2 trillion.
In addition, mutual cooperation assistance from employees of the Ministry of Agriculture together with strategic partners, including food state-owned enterprises such as Bulog, ID Food and PTPN, was collected through the Ministry of Agriculture Cares program worth around IDR 75 billion.
The distribution of aid is carried out in stages through intensive coordination with BNPB, the relevant coordinating ministries, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Indonesian Navy, the TNI Commander and the Ministry of Defense.
