The government has revealed a number of conditions so that the salaries of civil servants (

) could increase in 2026.
Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Rini Widyantini said the salary increase would really depend on the country’s fiscal capacity.
However, he emphasized that he supports the plan for civil servant salaries to increase next year.

“I am also happy that ASN (state civil servants) can increase their salaries, but of course we have to pay attention to fiscal readiness,” stressed Rini at the Kemenpan RB Office, South Jakarta, Tuesday (18/11), quoted from
detikcom.
As an effort by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform to encourage an increase in civil servant salaries, Rini wrote directly to the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has received the letter.
Purbaya confirmed this after asking his subordinates, namely the Director General of Budget Luky Alfirman.
“Later we will evaluate and assess, we will discuss later (the increase in civil servant salaries in 2026),” said Purbaya at the press conference for our APBN at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Thursday (20/11).
Meanwhile, Director General of Budget Luky Alfirman said there had been no decision yet because the Ministry of Finance still needed to review the salary increase proposal.
Luky explained that there were a number of factors that the government considered before finally deciding to increase civil servant salaries.He emphasized that this problem is not simple.
“We always look at the performance and productivity of the ASN (state civil servants) themselves. Of course we also look at what our fiscal capabilities will be like,” emphasized Luky.
