National Nutrition Agency (

) prepared several options for distributing Free Nutritious Meals (
MBG
) during school holiday periods.
Some of the options prepared include asking students to come to school to pick up the MBG package or delivering the package directly to their home.
Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said the distribution option only applies to school children.Meanwhile, for pregnant, breastfeeding mothers and children under five, distribution is carried out as usual.

However, Dadan emphasized that before the school holidays, students had been given MBG food for four days.The menu is prepared in a way that can last a long time at room temperature, like beef jerky.
“At the start of the holiday, ready-to-eat food is provided for a maximum of 4 days with quality menus such as eggs, fruit, milk, shredded meat/jerky,” he explained.
According to Dadan, the MBG menu will still be provided only to students whose holidays remain in the city.For those who leave the city, they will not be included in the temporary recipient data.
“Each SPPG will determine the mechanism according to regional characteristics, holidays are of course welcome. MBG is for those who don’t go anywhere,” he added.
Dadan said that each distribution would go through the Minutes of Handover (BAST) mechanism made by the respective Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), the aim of which was to reduce acts of fraud.
“Everything will be accounted for according to the number of beneficiaries,” he explained.
