Marc Marquez
with Ducati is said to be uncertain.It is claimed that Marquez can still return to Honda in MotoGP 2027.
Marc Marquez’s contract with Ducati ends in 2026. So far there is no clarity regarding whether Marquez will extend his contract at Ducati or not until 2027.
MotoGP observer, Carlo Pernat, said that Marquez still has the opportunity to return to Honda, the team he left in 2024. According to Pernat, Marquez is not certain to be with Ducati in MotoGP 2027.

“It is not certain that Marc Marquez will wear Ducati colors in 2027. Honda is close to Marc Marquez’s heart, and Alberto Puig will do whatever it takes to bring him back to the garage,” said Pernat, quoted from

Pernat said that one of the conditions that could bring Marquez back to the Honda garage was improvements to the Japanese manufacturer’s motorbike.
The main reason Marquez left Honda was because his motorbike was not competitive.So Marquez joined Gresini Racing and became a factory Ducati racer in the 2025 season.
“If Honda continues to develop technically, I think the Japanese [team] will offer something valuable to this small country, and Marc Marquez will have no doubts that he is guaranteed a competitive bike,” said Pernat.
Pernat even predicts that Marc Marquez will be on the same team as Valentino Rossi’s younger brother, Luca Marini, on the Honda team in MotoGP 2027.
“Just think, this is something that the new MotoGP bosses might really like, considering that Liberty Media will focus on the narrative. Know what makes me smile? The idea that in the Honda garage in 2027, Marc Marquez and brother Valentino Rossi might be there.”
