Corruption Eradication Commission
(KPK) collected IDR 110 million from internal employee donations to be distributed to
victims of ecological disasters
in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
The KPK distributed this assistance directly by involving a team from KORPRI KPK and the Deputy for Coordination and Supervision (Korsup) as the unit tasked with providing assistance and supervision of regional government governance.
The team in question went to the disaster location in Langkat and Aceh Tamiang Regencies this Friday.

“As a form of collective solidarity with disaster victims in North Sumatra and Aceh, KORPRI KPK took the initiative to raise donations to ease the burden on our brothers and sisters,” said Cahya H Harefa as Chair of KORPRI KPK in a written statement, Friday (12/12).
The presence of the KPK team at the disaster location was warmly welcomed by the local regional government.Langkat Regent Syah Afandin appreciated the KPK’s efforts to raise donations for the care of victims of natural disasters.
“The presence of the KPK in Langkat Regency is an extraordinary thing because of its concern for the people of Langkat Regency,” said Afandin from a press statement distributed by the KPK.
Meanwhile, Langkat Regency Regional Secretary H. Amril explained that humanitarian aid from the Corruption Eradication Committee had been distributed from the Social Service Post to 16 sub-districts affected by the flood, from 23 sub-districts in Langkat.
Aceh Tamiang Regent Armia Fahmi together with Regency Inspector Aulia Azhari received the aid directly, then distributed it to two refugee center villages, namely Tanjung Karang Village and Menanggini Village, Karang Baru District.
“A big thank you to the Corruption Eradication Commission. The refugee community is also grateful for the assistance which is very meaningful to them,” said Armia.
This donation is a form of solidarity which is reflected in the active participation of KPK employees.Apart from individual contributions, donation support also came from internal religious institutions, namely Rohis and the KPK Ecumenical Committee, which showed a caring spirit regardless of background.
KORPRI KPK representatives together with the Korsup KPK Team, consisting of Amir Arief, Taufik Martha, and Harun Hidayat, distributed aid ranging from essential to urgent needs.The assistance consists of ready-to-eat food, mineral water, decent clothes, diapers, boots, sanitary products, dates and medicines.
“By raising this donation, the KPK hopes that the donations will be useful in easing the burden on our brothers and sisters who have been hit by disasters,” said Cahya.
“The Corruption Eradication Commission also invites all Indonesian people to continue to pray that the conditions of the affected areas and communities will recover quickly,” he continued.
Flash floods and landslides hit a number of areas on Sumatra Island, where the most affected areas were in Aceh.The death toll as of Friday (12/12) afternoon reached 995 people.
In a video recording uploaded to the Ministry of Health’s Instagram account, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that the total number of refugees from the disaster had almost reached 1 million people [data as of 9 December 2025].
“Victims with minor and serious injuries reached almost 9 thousand people. This is a huge humanitarian disaster,” he added.
