) examined two prosecutors from the North Hulu Sungai District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) who were arrested through a sting operation (OTT) in the South Kalimantan region (

).The two people arrived at the KPK on Friday (19/12) morning.
“This morning the parties who were detained during arrest activities in the South Kalimantan region arrived at the Red and White KPK building, including 2 people from the North Hulu Sungai District Prosecutor’s Office,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in a written statement.
Budi confirmed that those arrested were the Head of the District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari) and the Head of the North Hulu Sungai Intelligence Section (Kasi).

“It’s true, among them were those arrested by Kajari, the Head of Intel, and private individuals who were suspected of being intermediaries,” said Budi.
Budi also revealed that the Corruption Eradication Committee had secured evidence of hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash.
“Apart from that, the team also secured evidence amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash,” said Budi.
The Corruption Eradication Commission later revealed the two prosecutors were suspected of committing acts of extortion.
“These parties will then be subjected to intensive examination, where the initial suspicion is that it was an act of extortion,” he said.
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) conducted OTT in Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency, South Kalimantan.A total of six people whose identities have not been released were arrested in the silent operation.
“Today’s team also carried out activities in the South Kalimantan area. So far six people have been arrested,” said Budi.
