Former Uzbekistan coach,
Timur Kapadze
remembering his meeting with Rizky Ridho when they faced the U-23 Indonesian National Team in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
At that time, Uzbekistan won 2-0 over the U-23 National Team in the semifinals.Rizky Ridho received a red card near the end of the second half after fouling an opposing player.
“I noticed he was one of the best players in Indonesia,” said Kapadze in Jakarta, Friday (21/11).

“Emotions are normal, but my opinion is that he [Ridho] wanted to aim for the ball but his tackle was not successful so it was considered a foul. I noticed that Ridho was very reliable but then he couldn’t play for the national team again,” he said again.
Kapadze is currently in Indonesia.However, he confirmed that his arrival to his homeland was not related to plans to interview as coach of the Indonesian National Team.
Kapadze confirmed that his arrival in Indonesia was purely to fulfill a tourism promotion invitation.
“I came here to fulfill an invitation regarding tourism. So there are no official plans for an interview regarding coaching the Indonesian National Team,” he said.
However, Kapadze did not deny his desire to handle the Indonesian national team.Moreover, now his contract with Uzbekistan has officially ended.
“Basically, I will study all the offers that come in. I am open to offers,” he said.
